What is WMCR?

WMCR is the student-powered radio station of Monmouth College, a four-year private liberal arts college nestled in west central Illinois. It is composed of students enrolled in the
Radio Workshop course (CATA 115) and individuals filling Executive Staff positions. WMCR is the responsibility of the Communication & Theater Arts department.

I want to be a DJ, but I don’t have that much time. How many hours are required?

Every DJ must log 30 work hours (25 hours of on-air work and
5 hours of off-air work or training workshops). For more information see the CATA 115 Course Syllabus.

I want to be a Executive Staff Member, but I don’t have that much time. What’s required?

Every staff member must attend weekly staff meetings in addition to fulfilling his or her position’s duties. Each position is different and requires different commitments. For more information see the Executive Staff position descriptions.
