Monmouth College: The New Curriculum Informational Brochure CATA 365: Media Production New_Curriculum_Brochure.pdf
To a small liberal arts college, general education curriculum is the backbone of an undergraduate degree. When changes are made to this curriculum, the college wants everyone from professors to prospective students to know. I made sure to take these concerns into consideration when creating this brochure for Monmouth College. In this pamphlet, the reader gains an understanding of the set of Integrated Studies courses Monmouth College requires of all its students. After a brief introduction to the program, the pamphlet introduces each of the four courses, in order of their completion.
This brochure is meant to be attractive and versatile. Aesthetic appeal comes from the simple combination of red, white, and black that echoes the kilts of the college's mascot--the Fighting Scots. In addition, this simplified plaid pattern provides the structure that guides the reader from page to page through the pamphlet. The consistency of fonts alludes to the consistency of the curriculum, and the white boxes to the right of each class title represent the order in which the courses should be taken. A few tasteful pictures liven up the brochure and provide adequate spacing between the sections. The text has also been edited for space and brevity. With all of these considerations in place, this brochure communicates effectively to a broad audience.
